This in-law has no shared walls with the main house & is under our guest bedroom, so you will hear a bit of noise when we go in & out of that room with our dogs
The space
This in-law unit is a quiet retreat with beautiful air purifying plants. With 288 square feet there is plenty of space for you to relax. The queen bed is set away from the side wall so there is room for you enter/exit the bed from either side. The love seat and coffee table provide an easy place to watch a show or movie. We have provided a large screen tv with a Roku for you to access your favorite streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime). The kitchen table is easily converted from a small table for 2 into a larger workspace - great for laying out a project.
I am happy to provide complimentary tea and coffee for making a cup of whatever you desire. The kitchen is equipped with a Chemex coffee pot for a nice pour over brew, a toaster oven, a full size gas stove with an oven, a full size fridge and an instant hot water dispenser at the sink. There are also plenty of pots, pans, casserole dishes, and cooking utensils for your cooking pleasure.
Guest access
The front patio area is for the exclusive use for the guest. There is one step up from the patio to the porch and one step from the porch to the unit. Upon request, we can provide ramps for wheelchair or walker access.
Other things to note
The entire unit is easily converted into a wheelchair accessible space. We will gladly work with you and your needs. Please look at the photos to see the adjustments we make for wheelchair needs. Examples are: Coffee table, black wrought iron shelf unit, and wooden cabinet next to stove can all be removed to make more room. The queen bed can also be moved closer to the wall to provide more space. In some cases we also remove the door to the bathroom and provide a bench so a guest can sit/slide over to the tub/shower and toilet. Handheld shower attachment is also available. Please, inquire about other necessary adjustments to make your stay more comfortable.
